SolidCAD and CAD MicroSolutions Inc. Announce Merger
SolidCAD and CAD MicroSolutions Inc. are pleased to announce a definitive agreement to merge their Autodesk businesses effective May 2nd, 2011. The merged Autodesk Gold VAR Partners will operate under the SolidCAD brand providing an expanded team offering more than 35 years combined experience across the Manufacturing and Architecture, Building Engineering, Civil Engineering and Construction Industries (AEC).
This merger represents a positive change for customers of SolidCAD and the Autodesk division of CAD MicroSolutions Inc. As the merged team moves forward under the SolidCAD banner, customers will benefit from the largest and most extensive technical resource pool available in Canada from any Autodesk VAR Partner. SolidCAD’s combined staff of close to 50 experts will deliver unmatched, best-in-class training programs, technical support, implementation and customization services across the entire Autodesk software technology portfolio.
Customers can continue to communicate with the same sales and technical personnel as they have in the past but will also have access the benefits of a single source for servicing the demands and requirements specific to each industry.
SolidCAD’s existing offices in Richmond Hill, Brampton and Burlington will remain unchanged and will be supplemented by the addition of a new sales office and training facility, at CAD MicroSolutions Inc.’s Etobicoke location, resulting in better regional support and geographic coverage.
